Faith Family Reunion

Dear FBCNV Faith Family,

Over the past several weeks, we have been meeting virtually to pray and prepare for how we may resume gathering in a safe way. We reviewed the guidelines and recommendations from Indiana’s Back on Track p lan released on May 1. After significant prayer and discussion, we plan to resume limited onsite services beginning the weekend of May 23-24. We are preparing plans and protocols that follow the government recommendations in the same 5 stage plan outlined by Gov. Holcomb. In order to implement these plans, we are expanding to 3 weekend service times Saturdays at 5PM and Sundays at 9 and 10:30AM. We are initiating protocols to create a sanitary, touchless environment that allows for safe physical distancing. Some of these protocols include designating entrances and exits through the Welcome Center, closing the coffee bar, eliminating paper bulletins, and adding dropboxes for tithes and offerings. A critical aspect of the plan is to limit capacity in the building, so we ask that you go online to FBC Connect to reserve seats on behalf of your family. Details on how to reserve seats will be released later this week. You may also email office@fbcnv.org or call 812-346-2069 to save your seats for the weekend service. At this time, there will be no BiG Deal Kids or Impact Student ministry on site, so make sure to save seats for your kids too. For those that need to stay home, we will continue to offer the livestream of the Sunday 10:30 AM service.

It is imperative that if you have had any symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or loss of taste/smell, you stay home and seek medical attention. Please do not return until at least 10 days from the onset of your symptoms AND you have been symptom-free for 72 hours. If you have been exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID-19, please remain home for 14 days. If you are at high risk for complications from COVID-19, we strongly encourage you to stay home and limit your exposure.

We also will be opening a few rooms in the church building for LifeGroups on Wednesday nights starting May 13. Please contact Shannon at office@fbcnv.org or 812-346-2069 to reserve your room. All groups are required to reserve rooms and will not be able to access the building without first registering through the church office. Groups must continue to practice physical distancing measures, keeping at least six feet between family units. Many groups are meeting via online platforms such as Zoom or outside homes. If you have not been meeting as a group, we strongly encourage you to do so. Real spiritual growth happens in small groups.

We will continually monitor government guidelines and local health conditions to determine when we can safely advance to the next stages of our Faith Family Reunion plan. Please stay

tuned to fbcnv.org for more details and updates. The Greek word that is translated as church in the New Testament is ekklesia, which means gathering. We prayerfully await the day when we will all be able to once again gather together again as one family. Until that day, we will gather in smaller numbers and in new ways, but while we may now be physically separated, we will remain spiritually connected.
