Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

Dear FBCNV Faith Family,

The Board of Deacons and Pastors met and discussed the evolving situation of the COVID-19 pandemic commonly referred to as the “coronavirus.”  On Thursday, March 12th, Governor Holcomb issued guidance to avoid gatherings in excess of 250 people. We reviewed our recent attendance records and our average attendance at an individual service is below 250.  Therefore, we have decided to continue with our usual services as scheduled. We are taking the following precautions to mitigate risk:

  • Ushers and greeters should not shake hands as people enter or leave.
  • We will suspend our customary greeting of those around you and ask that you avoid handshakes and hugs.
  • Deacons will collect offering at the end of the service as people exit instead of passing collection plates during the service.
  • The service duration will be shortened slightly to allow for the 9 AM attendees to exit the worship center before the 10:30 AM attendees arrive.

We ask that if you have any symptoms of a respiratory illness such as coughing, sneezing, and/or fever within the past 48 hours, you do not attend any church services or events. You may instead watch the live stream on our facebook page.  We also want to remind you that you can give your tithes and offerings online. Just visit to learn how.

This is a rapidly evolving situation and we may take additional precautions as we learn more.  The best place to stay up to date on COVID-19 is by visiting Indiana State Department of Health Website.  We are praying for a swift end to this pandemic and holding fast to the words of Jesus in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

On behalf of the Board of Deacons,

Brad Morin
